American Robin

The American Robin is a common bird widely distributed around around most parks and forests in North America. It has a yellow bill, an orange stomach, their head colour ranges from jet black to light grey and it has a greyish back. They measure 23-28 centimetres long and they have a wingspan ranging from 31-41 centimetres.

A robins diet consists 15-20% earthworms which they find in lawns early in the morning on lawns and fields. Robbins also eat small insects, berries, and fallen fruits.

A female Robins lays 1 egg every 24 hours until she reaches the amount of 3-4 turquoise eggs. The incubation period takes 12-14 days and the hatching period takes 24 hours. when they hatch they have to stay in the nest fore 13-14 days until they are mature enough to live on there own.
